I'm so excited about the new, larger-scale paintings I'm working on. They are thick with texture and have abstract backgrounds, which is a fun thing for me -- using big brush strokes, mixing and blending. Then I tighten up the painting with a charcoal drawing and finish by painting the horse with oil paint. "Breaking Through" got it' name for the way I feel about the direction of my creative work.
